Sonoma get away

Great views and amenities. A clean, well maintained property at the end of a secluded street. Very close to downtown Sonoma.

Second Time Back was Just as Great!

This is the second year we have visited the area, and the home was wonderful again. Hard to beat the view, pool was warm, each couple had their own space. Would definitely recommend.

Incredible stay

The views overlooking the valley were phenomenal. We enjoyed the solitude but also being 5 minutes away from the action. Plenty of space for our group of 4, but 6 would definitely fit comfortably. Lastly the beds were extremely comfortable, which is not often the case in a rental. Topper and crew were a pleasure to work with and were extremely accommodating. We will be back!

Great House for Wine country trip

We loved staying at Trish and Johns place! We booked because of the pickleball court for something extra for us to do, and loved it! The views are amazing, and the pool and patio were great to hang by. Would stay here again if we come back to Sonoma! The house was clean and had the basic necessities (paper towels, hand soap and toilet paper) however they do not provide any shower supplies (shampoo, body soap etc) so make sure to bring some with you!

Tranquil gem among the rolling hills.

A beautiful home combined with a super cozy vibe. John was excellent at consistent communication, and Trish and Topper are wonderful people and generous hosts, always open to any thoughts or suggestions for the property. Our friends flew in all the way from Luxembourg and had nothing but a warm and positive experience. Thank you all for a fantastic weekend!

Wonderful weekend getaway!

A few of my college girlfriends got together for a long weekend and this property fit our needs perfectly. Lots of different spaces to relax, sit around, enjoy a glass of wine, and gab… for hours. Thanks for an amazing stay!

What a relaxing home!

My family stayed here for a handful of days over the summer, and the home truly contributed to a wonderful vacation. The inside of the home is sufficient, and the outside takes it up a notch. The front porch, patio, and swimming area had the most beautiful breeze and views that we never got tired of (it was a vacation in and of itself). The close proximity to Sonoma (5 minutes) and Carneros (10 minutes) was convenient, and Napa was only a 25 minute drive away. We would definitely stay here again.

Spectacular location, well-equipped, comfortable home

Lovely wine country visit. Nice place to “come home to” after a day of exploration. Bedroom layout (3rd bedroom access is through master suite, but there is outside door access) is a bit quirky, but worked for our family. Owner instructions were spot-on, access to gate/property very clear.

Wine country with adult children

We could not have chosen a better property to meet our oldest two children for an amazing visit to Sonoma and Napa. The location was perfect, 7-10 minutes from quaint downtown Sonoma and proximal to numerous wineries and vineyards. Our gracious hosts reserved a pickle ball court right in the neighborhood so we could start our morning out with a bit of exercise each day. The property feels very private, has beautiful views and a relaxing back yard with pool, hot tub, and grill. The owners are extremely communicative and helpful and gave a ton of great recommendations. This is a perfect option for any group of 6 to book when visiting the CA wine country.

Beautiful home with views about 10 minute drive from Sonoma Square

Trish, John and Topper were great hosts. The house was exactly as described. Comfortable beds and beautiful grounds. Heated pool and hot tub were great. Pickleball is just down the road, with a nice shady area to relax outside an airstream trailer with plenty or racquets and balls. We never encountered anyone else using the courts, but it seems to be a community court for the 8-10 houses in the street. Only 10 minutes to great restaurants and wine tastings but feels off the beaten path. Thanks so much for sharing your home!

Our stay at beautiful High Home

We had a wonderful stay at “High Home” Our traveling group included two parents and four young adult “kids”. The sleeping opportunities were perfect for our couples vs singles and the various spaces on site were perfect for privacy and togetherness. The outside spaces were great, loved the screened in porch and fantastic views. The pickleball arrangement was somewhat confusing with regard to how to know when it was okay to use – e.g. ten minutes in on one of the days, we needed to leave because others were signed up to use the court. When we were able to play, though, the pickleball was a highlight of the stay! All in all, a wonderful time and we would recommend to others and would return for a repeat!

Peaceful Views & Friendly Hosts

We really enjoyed our stay at the home – the views were amazing, and we spent most of our time outdoors on the extensive patio because we loved dining al fresco. The house is also sprawling and has a lot of room. The kitchen wasn’t fully stocked for cooking needs as it was missing things like baking pans for the oven, however, the hosts were very communicative and extremely accommodating, letting us borrow items from their own kitchen to cook with for our Thanksgiving dinner. The only negative aspect was we found the kitchen to be dirty (fridge, dishwasher, utensils, etc.). Aside from this, we really enjoyed our stay overall! Thank you for having us!

Private pool!

My family of 4 adults loved our stay. Each of the 3 bedrooms has their own sliding door out to the pool/back yard area. The outdoor dining table had a moveable shade roof overtop. The pool was clean. The views are gorgeous, you can even watch the sunset from the pool. The backyard is so quiet and private, just you and nature. The pickleball court was pristine with its own great view. The hosts were friendly and responsive. The living room area was comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is very bare as far as pantry items, which they say in their listing. There is salt and pepper but otherwise plan to bring your own olive oil, etc if you’re cooking. Good kitchen pans and clean fancy gas grill outside, easy to use. Overall made for a really nice vacation.

Pickleball, views and peace!

We can’t say enough about our stay at this property. The house is clean and comfortable with nice appropriate artwork, and pretty decorating touches. Topper was easy to communicate with and very friendly. We enjoyed the location so much. Just a short drive down the hill to the plaza. We used the pool and hot tub. We cooked one night. If you are going to need plastic wrap or foil, make sure to pack it. They have enough glasses, plates and utensils. Also pack shampoo. Other than that, the house is great! We used the pickleball court every day and one day we used it twice. Our group loved it so much, we want to repeat the trip next year! Thank you Trish and Topper for a fantastic 4days. Much appreciated.

Family vacation

The property and view are very nice. My family and I had a relaxing 5 days there. However, there were some cleaning issues, I spent the first hour wiping the kitchen cabinets and knobs and frig. Also I had to clean the toilet in the far bathroom, which was obviously dirty and wipe down surfaces in the bedroom. In addition, the pillows in the last bedroom were old stained and the pillow cases were dirty. I found live moths living underneath one of the pillows. I brought it to someone’s attention and within 2 hours I had new pillows and pillow cases. Other reviews stated that the kitchen is not well equiped, which is true. The cookwear was very inferior. Old PFAS stick resistant pots and pans were our only obtion. Except for one stainless steel pot. Spending 7,000 dollars for 5 days, I expected better. Cleanliness, good basic kitchen items and decent pillows should be without question, standard. Especially for this price.

Peaceful Escape in the hills

Beautiful, clean house with stunning views. It felt like our own oasis in Sonoma! We had 5 women (friends since high school) and it was perfect. 4 beds (1 was a king so it was shared), 3 bathrooms with showers, and everything else we needed from a kitchen perspective. I would recommend renting a car though. Although it is just 10 min from Sonoma Plaza, the neighborhood seems a bit remote and taxis and uber/lyft usually took about 40 minutes to arrive. It would be a very long walk. Next time we would rent a car. Also, the bedroom with 2 doubles and the 3rd bathroom are in a separate wing with the only indoor access being through the master bathroom. This was fine for us because we know each other so well but it did cut down on use of the master toilet because it was right at the doorway between the 2 halves of the house. Luckily, it is California and you could access the main house from the guest wing via the outdoor patio, if needed. This house was great for us and would be perfect for a family. The owners were very accommodating and helpful. We would rent here again.

Sonoma Staycation!

Great property with amazing views! Secluded and tidy. Very functional with all three bedrooms having access to the patio. You have to go outside to access the third bedroom or walk through the en-suite. The home is a little dated and could use some small upgrades for the value. It was a little short on cooking gear and what was there was old. A new set of cookware and utensils would be a big help. It seemed we might be the first group to stay this season so a little slow out of the gate. Basically just needed a thorough spring clean (windows, sills, etc.) and air out before our stay. A little polish and this place would be amazing. We stayed for a week and everyone was comfortable. It’s not a place you are going to take a leisurely walk. The hills are steep and it’s a workout! We didn’t get to pickleball but you can tell the facility was really nice. Just make sure you schedule court time before your stay. It was our first time in Sonoma so we spent most of our time exploring. Next time we visit we will stay closer to home as this place stands on its own. Lastly we were blessed to have a local chef give us cooking lessons and prepare a meal for us. There was plenty of space and we rearranged the kitchen and living room to have a candlelit dinner in front of the fireplace…a definite highlight of the trip.

Great pre thanksgiving stay

We needed a few days away from home prior to the holidays. The house was very clean and peaceful with beautiful views. The pickle ball court is the best. Great family fun! We will be coming back when the weather warms up for the pool!

Such a beautiful home and location...

We stayed at Sonoma High Home for 3 nights, and absolutely loved it. The views and property are spectacular! The house is very well maintained and the neighborhood is quiet and very conveniently located to Sonoma Plaza (dining, stores etc). Highly recommend this vacation home!

Beautiful property, gorgeous views

We loved staying at this zen house in Sonoma. Beautifully furnished, incredibly peaceful, stunning views. It was too cold to use the pool alas, but I would come back again in warmer months to do that. We also took advantage of the pickle ball court that’s a 5 minute walk from the house; the kids loved it. Highly recommend.

Dad's 90th birthday celebration

High Home is all we could have hoped for and more. The location is perfect – gorgeous views, privacy, and still close to the Sonoma Square. The house is beautifully appointed. We were there to celebrate my father’s 90th birthday, and both of my parents loved the views and opportunity to eat al fresco from the beautiful deck. John & Trish could not have been better hosts. Communication with them was easy and quick. They made our visit very comfortable, and my Dad’s 90th quite memorable.

Incredible Views

This Sonoma home is at the top of the hill with amazing views. It is about a 2 mile drive down the hill to the Sonoma Square. Our favorite place was the front porch. We had coffee and cocktails there nightly. It seats 6 nicely although we had four people. The house is a 3 bedroom/3 bath. Master has a comfy king bed and a wonderful bathroom with 2 separate sinks. Great shower. The Guest room in the main house is a double bed w a full bath across the hall. We are tall people, so we wished it was a queen (at least), but it was comfortable. Both bedrooms open onto the patio with a pool and tiki bar complete with lounges and a table for 6. The third bedroom is a suite of sorts. It has a living room and a bedroom with 2 double beds. Again, wished they were Queens. The only problem is that you must go through the master bathroom to get to the suite OR walk through the patio (only a problem if raining). The decor in the house is contemporary and attractive. They have some fun artwork, as well. We made good use of the pickle ball court which is down the block. Our family of 4 enjoyed the home very much!

As our guest, you have full access to High Home’s private pickleball court. The court is equipped with paddles and balls, which are located in the courtside Airstream.
